Most of the time I’m well aware of how much of my day is wrapped up in a few inches of electronics, but it was only when it was taken away from me for three days that I realized just how much I’m immersed in my world of words. My laptop almost died, but we brought it back to life. 🙂
For three days I was at a loss as to what to do. My attitude sucked. I spent hours turning it on and off again because there was a possibility a simple reset might work, but then I had to face the truth — a factory reinstall was vital.
All the same, it wasn’t a total loss. The laptop is now faster than ever. I’m up to 49% of my novel. We’re almost ready to launch our Book Rally fundraiser. The client of the nonfiction book I’m editing isn’t in a huge rush. The weather outside is gorgeous. I got to cut down a few errant branches in the yard and throw out some things I’ve been hoarding.
As Matthew McC would say, “Alright, alright, alright.”
